On Saturday,
February 3, 2007 members from several Division 15 flotillas, including Lynn
Enny and Charlie Pound from 15-10, took a refreshing dip in Lake Champlain. Before CG Auxiliary boat crew members are
allowed to participate in cold water patrols they must qualify in
the use of Coast Guard boat crew survival gear. |

Jim Canavan, Division 15 DCP and 014-15-10 member, the Lake George NY
Flotilla, is breaking in to become a qualified Assistant Lighthouse
Keeper at the Boston Lighthouse. Jim recently enjoyed a long weekend
learning to maintain and operate this lighthouse located on an island
Boston Harbor. |
| The First District, Southern Region had a
surprise readiness drill on August 24th through August 26th. Coxswain
Charlie Pound and Crew Mike Balch, both from the Lake George Flotilla,
patrolled the Lake Champlain Canal/Hudson River from Fort Edwards to
Albany; conducting Marine Dealer Visits with the Lock Keepers along the
way. |

| Mike Balch, FC 014-15-10, the Lake George NY
Flotilla, received his qualification as a Communications Watchstander at
Coast Guard Station Burlington on August 1st. Mike has the duty most
Wednesdays from 0745 to 1545. |
